About the event
Fishing for Freedom is an overnight retreat hosted by Warriors for Freedom Foundation at Jellystone Park at Lake Eufaula on October 16–17. The event is designed to give veterans and active-duty service members an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, connect with fellow service members, and spend time on the water with volunteer boat captains and experienced anglers.
Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or have never cast a line before, Fishing for Freedom is about much more than catching fish. It’s about building friendships, relaxing in a supportive environment, and creating lasting memories with others who understand the military experience.
The event includes an overnight stay, opportunities for fellowship, and a full day of fishing on beautiful Lake Eufaula. Additional event details—including lodging information, schedules, what to bring, and check-in instructions—will be provided to selected participants prior to the event.
