Each fall, Warriors for Freedom hosts Fishing for Freedom, one of our signature annual events designed to bring veterans together for a memorable weekend of camaraderie, recreation, and connection. This unique event pairs approximately 50 veterans with 50 volunteer boaters for a day of fishing on Lake Eufaula, creating opportunities to build friendships, share experiences, and enjoy the outdoors.

Veterans selected to participate receive lodging accommodations at Jellystone Park™ at Lake Eufaula, meals throughout the event, and fishing equipment. Whether you’re an experienced angler or have never picked up a fishing rod, Fishing for Freedom is designed to be welcoming and enjoyable for veterans of all skill levels.

More than a fishing tournament, the event provides an opportunity for veterans to disconnect from daily stressors, reconnect with nature, and spend time alongside others who understand the military and veteran experience.
